Equal Sharing


These girls had to share theirTangelo between 3 people. They cut it into thirds.

These girls had to share their Tangelo between 4 people. They cut it into quarters.

These guys had to share their Tangelo between 6 people. They cut it into sixths.

  1. That looks like a fun way to learn about fractions. Did you know that you can make fractions out of really big numbers too? Can you work out what the fraction would be for the number of girls in Te Puawai and the fraction for the number of boys in Te Puawai?
