Art Gallery Trip
Today we visited the Len Lye Centre.
We watched a film made by Oskar Fischinger called "Raumlichtkunst". This is an exciting exhibition and is well worth a visit(especially on a wet weekend!)
We discussed motion and music and then we put on a performance for our group in the Art Gallery theatre.

Okoare Pa
We have been learning our Mihi at school. Part of our Mihi is about Okoare Pa which is situated next to Frankley School on the Francis Douglas farm.
Today Mr Ritai took us to Okoare Pa and explained to us what the pa site would have looked like when Maori lived there.

Govett Brewster Art Gallery Trip
We said farewell to Teagan today and wish her all the best for her new school.
Te Puawai has a trip to Govett Brewster Art Gallery in week one on Wednesday 26 July (11:00-12:30). We will be travelling by bus but will require some parents to accompany us while we are at the gallery.
We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.
100 Books Read
Congratulations to Adin for achieving his 100 Books Read Goal this week. As a Prize for finishing this challenge Adin got to make his own Stuffed Toy. Adin called his owl Fluffy. |
Miranda's Last Day
Over the last Term we have been lucky enough to have Miranda working with us in Te Puawai. She has now finished her placement with us, so the children each made Miranda a Harakeke Putiputi (Flax Flower) and attached a message of appreciation.
